'Enough' by Simon Straub- Film & Photography

Second Edit

Based in Stuttgart, Germany Simon Straub - Film & Photography is actually a one man production company. For this special event director Simon Straub teamed up with acting students from a local acting school he has ties to. With Sabina Bekovic not only taking on the role of Leila but also helping with the production a very small but efficient team was formed. With no budget the decision was quickly made to film with the Canon EOS 7D. For post-production Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects were used.

First Edit

First cut: Producers notes for the filmmakers

  • Music WAY too loud and overly dramatic – try without music or with more contemporary music

Thought it was shot very well and framed beautifully. Think the audio needs a lot of work though. A lot of the dialogue was barely audible and the music was maybe slightly to loud. Good effort though.

Thought the acting and the mood was really good. Thoroughly believed what happened. Maybe one improvement might be if the husband to be didn't look a little suspicous. This would play better as just their little secret and husband to be completely out of the loop.

Really nice little piece, I actually liked the moment between the husband to be and the "other man", but yes some of the dialogue hard to pick out.

The frames are beautiful but have to agree with comments above regarding the suspicion and tension between both men should not be there.

Thanks for all the comments. Yes, sound should be done again with more focus on a continuous soundlevel. The music was supposed to cover up a few "holes" in the sound but it didn't work out the way we imagined. So we going to improve the sound. Thanks again.
