'Nothing Ventured' by BOTU Films

(Dunedin, NZ) First Edit

First cut: Producers notes for the filmmakers

  • Try adding some footsteps and foley
  • Music nice at start but becomes too much. Take it out and bring it back in for the punchline.
  • Slightly overlit in places, try grading everything to be a little less hot

Nice quirky take on the script. Would agree with all the production notes from above, think if you work towards that you're have a really sweet film. Love the bang against the door and her big smile at the end, brings out the awkwardness while being romantic. Is good, enjoyed it.

I liked this version- especially the nuances of the actors - the clumsy guy.. possible attraction btwn them - EXCEPT the short moment when they smile too knowingly at each other and nearly get the chuckles. Need to lose that moment I think.

Loved the acting. The first shot of her is too hot. Liked the music at first, then very quickly became annoying; same volume, too redundant, no dramatic moments in it. The door bump was awesome. Sweet, and I liked it quite a bit. Don't think this needs much to be very nice.
