  Maybe beter if we didn't know wife had to go back, how has done it? Dose the wife know? But would she burn her own place down???

  I don't think your script tells exactly what you wanted to say in the ending, i.e the way you saw it in your head. The ending, which I assume is supposed to be dramatic, is not so. Perhaps a bit a rewriting would make it better?
