A nerdy Physics Ph.D. student is hapless when pressed into duty as mentor to undergraduates but he falls in love and finds the courage to “sing” the secrets of his heart on Valentines Day.
I'm afraid the premise didn't work for me at all. the idea that a two-sentence plea from a prisoner could turn around the policy of an established dystopian society, is not going to be believable.
Apart frpm the story, the unwittingly funny syntax is going to be a distraction for any reader: "Zak is laid next to his boyfriend Toby" That must have annoyed Toby...
