'Neil' by Kevin Buckland
(London, UK) Second Edit
This is the second draft of our entry. It still doesn't have music, the sound hasn't been cleaned up, and the new CGI isn't complete... but it's half the length of the first draft! Written by Nigel Karikari, directed and edited by Kevin Buckland, shot by Chris Olivotos, and starring Darragh Mortell and Fleur Poad.

First cut: Producers notes for the filmmakers
- Way too long… WAY too long. Cut 40%
- Sound needs work – hiss and no foley or atmos are the first thing to greet us
- Sort out your dialogue tracks, they are heavily processed and it’s audible
- Visual effects at end need sound effects – it plays like a mistake right now

Way to long. Think you need to cut alot to make the film work. Feels very slow at the moment. I'm sure a shorter running time will help the film a lot.

Really great colour shots and acting was very subtle. I think that it needs to be shorter too and the guy needs to be shown to have electronic feed cord or wireless reception panel on skin to clarify meaning (even in this day of wireless techno!)

Interesting, the more versions you watch, the more you want to combine different choices. And it seems that all of the women are okay with kissing a man with his eyes open, but flinch when he touches them.
The different combinations of men and women also affect the story - the older the woman, the more poignant I think the outcome is.
